Hack4Hack is a hackathon platform for India where companies, colleges and communities host hackathons, ideathons, datathons and coding challenges, and where students and developers discover them, form teams and compete. ### Where can I find upcoming hackathons in India in 2026? The Hack4Hack hackathons page lists every open and upcoming hackathon on the platform. Filter by theme (AI / ML, Generative AI, Web3, FinTech and more), online or in-person, city, prize, entry fee and registration deadline. ### Are there free online hackathons for students? Yes. Most hackathons on Hack4Hack are free to enter and many run fully online, so students from any college can take part from home. Use the Online and Free to enter filters to find them. ### Is it free for participants? Yes. Creating an account and joining most hackathons is free. A few organizers charge a small registration fee, which is always shown on the hackathon page before you register. ### What is the difference between a hackathon, an ideathon and a datathon? In a hackathon, teams build a working prototype within a fixed time. An ideathon asks for an idea and a pitch rather than finished code. A datathon or ML challenge gives you a dataset and ranks submissions on a leaderboard. ### How do I register as a team? Open a hackathon and click Register. Create a team and you get a 6-character team code and an invite link. Teammates can join with the code, from the link, or you can invite them by email — even if they don’t have an account yet. ### How do I find teammates for a hackathon? Turn on “Show me in Find teammates” in your profile to appear on the Find teammates board, search other builders by skill, college or city, or ask to join a team that is looking for members. ### Can I take part in more than one hackathon? Yes. You can register for as many hackathons as you like, but you can only be in one team per hackathon. ### Where do I submit my project? Every team gets a workspace for each hackathon. When the submission window opens, submit from the Submission tab. Any teammate can edit it until the deadline. ### How do I host a hackathon? Create an organizer account, then set up your hackathon in the organizer console with stages, prizes, rules and resources. Once an admin approves it, it goes live. ### Do participants get certificates? Every team that submits a project gets a participation certificate once the hackathon ends, and winners get a certificate of achievement. ## Notes - Every hackathon has its own page at https://hack4hack.com/hackathons/{slug}; the full list is in https://hack4hack.com/sitemap.xml - Signing up and registering is free for participants; individual hackathons may set their own entry fee, shown on their page
