Terms of use

Last updated 2026-10-26

These terms apply when you use hack4hack.com. By creating an account or registering for a hackathon, you agree to them. Questions: connect@hack4hack.com.

Your account

Give accurate details and keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account. One person, one account.

Hackathons and organizers

Each hackathon is run by its organizer, who sets its rules, eligibility, judging and prizes. Those rules (including any terms on the hackathon's page) apply alongside these terms.

Prizes, and how and when they are paid, are described on each hackathon's page and in its rules.

Organizers may disqualify entries that break their rules or the code of conduct.

Fees and refunds

Some hackathons and challenges charge a fee, always shown before you pay. Payments are processed by Razorpay. Refunds follow the policy on the hackathon's page; for any payment question, write to connect@hack4hack.com with your payment ID.

Your projects and content

You keep ownership of what you build and submit. You give Hack4Hack and the hackathon's organizer permission to show your submission (name, description, demo, video, links and team) on the site and in results and promotion of the event.

Only submit work you have the right to share, and follow each hackathon's rules on using existing code, data and AI tools.

Acceptable use

Do not cheat, impersonate others, harass anyone, upload harmful code, scrape or overload the site, or try to get around payments or security. We may suspend accounts that do.

Our service

We work to keep the site available and accurate but provide it "as is". We are not responsible for an organizer's decisions or for losses caused by outages beyond our reasonable control, to the extent the law allows.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continued use means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
