Hack4Hack

Online hackathons (2026)

Online hackathons run entirely on the internet: you register, build with your team over video calls and GitHub, and submit a demo and code before the deadline. There is no travel, so students from any college and working professionals can take part from home.

Every online hackathon here shows its prize pool, entry fee, team size and deadline. Most are free to enter, and every team that submits a project gets a certificate.

Frequently asked questions

How do online hackathons work?

You register on the hackathon page, form a team (or join one), and get a team workspace with the problem statement and resources. When submissions open you build your project and submit the demo, repository and video online. Results are announced on the hackathon page.

Are online hackathons free?

Most online hackathons on Hack4Hack are free to enter. If an organizer charges a fee it is shown on the hackathon page before you register.

Will I get a certificate?

Every team that submits a project gets a participation certificate when the hackathon ends, and winners get a certificate of achievement. Some organizers add their own certificates too.

Can beginners join an online hackathon?

Yes. Pick one that is open to students, read the problem statements early, and see our guide on how to win a hackathon for a simple plan for your first one.
