Every hackathon on this page is free to enter: there is no registration fee to take part. You still get the full experience: problem statements, a team workspace, mentors where offered, prizes and a certificate when you submit.

A few hackathons charge a small fee for a later round (for example, to confirm a shortlisted spot). That is always stated on the hackathon page before you register.

Do I have to pay to register on Hack4Hack?

No. A Hack4Hack account is free, and most hackathons are free to enter. When an organizer charges a fee, it is shown on the hackathon page before you register.

Will I get a certificate?

Every team that submits a project gets a participation certificate when the hackathon ends, and winners get a certificate of achievement. Some organizers add their own certificates too.

Why do some hackathons charge a fee?

Fees usually cover venue, food or prizes for in-person events, or confirm serious teams in a final round. The amount and what it covers are shown on the hackathon page.
